Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Advance Booking Update: Mixed Presale Reactions As Kartik Aaryan Starrer Witnesses Maha Shivaratri Release

The excitement surrounding Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the third chapter of the popular horror-comedy franchise, and audiences cannot wait to pre-book a seat. Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 brings back Kartik Aaryan in addition to Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri, and Madhuri Dixit, all in important roles. With this excitement, advance bookings tentatively opened in some of the non-national multiplex chains, and an indication of what might possibly occur with the box office has begun to emerge. On the ticket sales front, trends are mixed and largely inconclusive, leaving it unclear how the film will shape up once it goes on full release.

It began slowly but steadily through selective cinema releases.
The first wave of advance bookings has witnessed Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 generating relatively decent yet promising ticket sales, especially at Rajhans and MovieMax cinema chains. Till late Monday night, October 28, the film had sold around 5,500 tickets at Rajhans cinemas, while 3,700 tickets have been booked at MovieMax. The figures are promising, but industry analysts are cautious with their predictions, keeping in mind the limited scope of presales so far. The other reason why many believe the numbers would pick up before the official release is because there are three days remaining to the date of its release.

Online Ticketing Websites Give Mixed Results

In one of India’s biggest online ticketing platforms, Book My Show, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has registered around 40,000 ticket admissions. While that is the count, reception has been described as “erratic” because of the variability in demand, which indicates that excitement may be tempered by a “wait-and-see” attitude. Ticketing portal evidence is anecdotal at best, and some regions and showtimes have fared better than others, which is probably because of targeted promotion efforts in those regions.

Reasons for Mixed Pre-Sales Reception

The mixed advance booking reception could be due to various reasons. That is, one was the sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, at a very high standard, and with Akshay Kumar in the original film, a cult classic itself. With Kartik Aaryan returning in the third part, audience expectations were raised already, which may have also impacted booking trends on the opening day. Second, selective pre-booking was opened and not opened in all chains, which could also have affected the outcome.

The other significant aspect is the all-star cast. Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit will accompany Kartik Aaryan in this one, which has already been a big buzz in the media. It has added on to the expectations about the film’s humor quotient, horror elements, and entertainment value. But still, without a full-fledged, pan-India release, it is tough to estimate the actual level of anticipation. Many analysts feel that once national chains and multiplexes open their bookings, the presales will pick up pace.

Industry Prospects: What’s in Store?

Though the initial advance bookings are promising, they have not touched the heights seen with the advance bookings of some of Bollywood’s biggest releases. Still, as pre-booking began only on Sunday afternoon, there is still more than enough time for the film to gain momentum. Analysts expect that if advance bookings fully open in the major multiplexes in the next couple of days, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will see a similar spurt as with the pattern that was observed with previous big-banner releases.

Historically speaking, the blend of horror and comedy in the film has been a huge magnet for audiences, particularly pre-Halloween season. Here, Halloween is only two weeks away from the planned date of release. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is thus more than ready to grab this family audience, along with the fans of the horror and comedy genre.
The Bhool Bhulaiyaa series has kept up an ardent fan base, right from the beginning when it was launched. It was a cult film, of course, in 2007; it was a cult classic because of its narrative, the performance, and especially the script. It has suspenseful humor. Kartik Aaryan’s being associated with the franchise gave the film much hype; the character that he had played in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was quirky yet was very relatable. His coming back in the third installment, in addition to nostalgia for the original, will likely attract viewers who want to witness how the new story unfolds.

Further, there is an excitement regarding new dynamics in the storyline when fans see Triptii Dimri in the lead and how her character can shape the story in ways previously unseen. It makes things even more exciting to include Madhuri Dixit, whose versatility as a performer and star value really add weight to this film’s ensemble cast.

Conclusion: A Promising Journey Ahead

With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 making advance bookings ahead of its release, advance sales figures during the first days indicate a picture. Although the advance booking isn’t as good, excitement from the fans due to the mix of horror and humor with the great star cast will help see numbers shoot up significantly before this broader channel of bookings settles down for several days from now.

For now, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is still eagerly awaited and has an eager audience of industry folks keeping an eye out to see if it meets the heritage of the films and at the box office. Franchise fans can only wish Kartik Aaryan and his co-actors could make Halloween this year worthwhile to remember.
