Jaya Bachchan never wanted her husband to host Kaun Banega Crorepati, ever since it was conceived. There’s a story to why.
Amitabh Bachchan is loved for his hosting. One can never imagine Kaun Banega Crorepati without him. But there is something strange about Jaya Bachchan that not many know.
Popular kaun banega crorepati is because of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He has made quiz game show the most favorite one. It’s being 16 seasons, yet the love for the show keeps growing. Well, ofcourse, the reason is Mr. Bachchan. He is the best host on television, and one cannot even imagine kaun banega crorepati without him. He did an amazing job as a host. He is not just a host but everything for the show. He brings entertainment by sharing a lot of amazing stories about Bollywood and about his family. He speaks about Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Navya Naveli Nanda, Shweta Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan and others.
She also wanted that Big B not host the KBC
He shares stories about them and tells interesting stories about their family. Big B also has additional knowledge of the questions asked on the show. He has something very good to tell. He also shares a laugh with the contestants and shows much interest in their life stories. All in all, there is no better host than Amitabh Bachchan for Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Actually, few know that Jaya Bachchan had problems with Big B hosting the show. In those days, TV was a much smaller medium than films and therefore Jaya Bachchan was apprehensive that the TV show might usurp Amitabh Bachchan’s larger-than-life image as a film actor. She was worried that being on TV will down his image. She remembered the time when her husband had a tough time in his acting career and recalled speaking to fashion designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. She said he was having back to back flops and then Kaun Banega Crorepati came his way.
The entire life changed for him and everyone wanted to work with him. She also added that got Big B more fame and love. But, she also revealed that she never wanted him to host the show. She had said, “Can you imagine I never wanted him to do it? Somehow felt that it was somewhere not correct to shrink him into the small screen.”
