Netflix declared that Aryan Khan’s debut series would be about an ‘ambitious outsider navigating the glitzy yet tricky world of Bollywood.’

Netflix has announced it is partnering with Red Chillies Entertainment for an exclusive untitled Bollywood series in 2025. Los Angeles — The news of this partnership and mega project was announced this week, at an event featuring some of the most ambitious international titles that will hit the service next year. Showcase event hosted by Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria.

About the Aryan khan’s project

This multi-genre project is set against the backdrop of the film industry and promises to take viewers on an entertaining, unapologetic ride through the adventures of a charming, ambitious outsider navigating the glitzy yet tricky world of Bollywood, according to a press note. The series blends a high-stakes narrative with self-aware humour, featuring blockbuster cameos and larger-than-life characters for an unforgettable, tongue-in-cheek take on Indian cinema, they say.

The upcoming Bollywood series marks the sixth outing between Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment, after the dark comedy Darlings, which was a hit, the crime-drama Bhakshak, which was well received by critics, Class of ’83, the cop-drama film, Betaal, the zombie horror series, and Bard of Blood, the spy thriller series.

Shahrukh Khan says

Sharing his heartfelt thoughts on the announcement, Shah Rukh Khan says, “We are excited to present this new series with Netflix that offers a refreshing look into the glamorous cinematic world and what it takes to succeed as an outsider. It’s a unique narrative brought to life by Aryan, many passionate minds and the team at Red Chillies Entertainment. This one’s going to be all heart, all hustle, and a whole lot of entertainment.”

Adds Monika Shergill, VP – Content, Netflix India, “We are excited to collaborate once again with Red Chillies Entertainment — this time, for a special series, by Aryan Khan. Aryan brings bold and vibrant direction, coupled with creating something very unique and full of entertainment. It builds on our shared passion for fresh voices and quality storytelling, and we can’t wait for our members to watch it.

Kangana, Karan, Suhana cheer Aryan

Kangana Ranaut shared the news, writing, “Great that children from film families are going beyond just wanting to put on make-up, lose weight, doll up and think they are actors. It’s time to raise the standards of Indian cinema collectively. And who ever has the resources, often takes the easiest roads. We need people behind the camera more. Good that Aryan Khan is taking road less traveled. Looking forward to his debut as a writer and filmmaker.
