Ananya Panday Wins Filmfare: ‘Best friend and best actress’, says Suhana Khan
Suhana Khan posted a picture of Ananya Panday with her Filmfare trophy, with respect to the latter winning the Critics’ choice Best Actress (Film) award.
Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday are often seen chilling at some exotic vacation spots, but they’re also champions of one another professionally. Suhana was one of the first people to congratulate Ananya for winning at the Filmfare OTT Awards on Sunday night.
What Suhana Khan posted about Ananya
On Sunday midnight, Suhana put up an Instagram story in which she posted a photo of Ananya, dressed in a black tank top, with her elbows leaning on a table, with the Filmfare statuette placed in front of her. She appeared to be absolutely thrilled with her eyes closed, as someone who has just achieved a dream. Suhana captioned the photo with the words, “Best friend & best actress (pink heart with arrow emoji).” Ananya reverted by re-posting it on her Stories and added, “Bestie girl (red heart emoji).”
Ananya was congratulated by others on their stories by Bhavana Pandey, rumoured boyfriend Walker Blanco, friend and entrepreneur Navya Nanda, and casting director Shanoo Sharma, among others. Ananya also shared pictures on her Instagram from the ceremony where she posed with the Filmfare trophy, including one in which she was seen with Arjun Varain Singh, director of Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, the movie for which she won the Best Actress (Films) – Critics’ Choice award.
What Ananya Panday shared on INSTAGRAM
This was another shared caption in Ananya’s post that featured a connection to Suhana Khan. She quoted a famous dialogue from Suhana’s father’s, Shah Rukh Khan’s, much-acclaimed movie Om Shanti Om released in 2007, “Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki kaushish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai.” What is interesting, though, is that the dialogue comes from Shah Rukh’s character Om as he delivers his acceptance speech after winning a Filmfare.
Ananya has also been thrilled to express her gratitude to the entire team that made Kho Gaye Hum Kahan possible. Co-produced by Excel Entertainment founded by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, and Tiger Baby founded by the co-writers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is a “coming-of-digital-age” movie with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav as cast. It released recently on Netflix India last December.
Ananya will next be seen in a film opposite Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan. On the other hand, Suhana will now make her theatrical debut along with King.
What Ananya Panday had to said
Ananya was revealed to have stated the following in an interview: “I never used to watch because I was so terrified that you would die in the film. I remember as a kid seeing D Company and out of nowhere you’d get shot and die in the movie: ‘Oh my God;’ I thought it was happening, but you were sitting right next to me. Traumatized, I didn’t watch too many of yours because I thought you would die in all of them.”
Contributions by Ananya as an actor
Ananya added, “When I started wanting to be an actor, I thought a lot like you because the kinds of movies I grew up on were those massy, commercial things. I still love that! That’s everything I saw. I had no clue it could be anything different. It probably is part of my DNA. Also, while I was going into my first three films, it wasn’t the thought that came to my mind whether I’d contribute anything or not for the character. It was only when I did Gehraiyaan that Shakun [Batra] really made me sit down and think like an actor. I enjoyed that process so very much. Moving forward, I want that blend of both.”
