Celebrating 25 Years of Hrithik Roshan: The Name That Redefined Bollywood
He had made a debut in Bollywood with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai in 2000, and on January 14th, he will celebrate his landmark 25th year as an actor in the Indian film industry.
Next January 10, he would officially become one year older. This month is truly special for Hrithik and his fans.
On Tuesday, Hrithik took some time off his busy schedule to meet with Indian media members in Mumbai. During the informal meeting, he expressed his gratitude to the Indian populace in general and their media in particular for being supportive all through his journey so far.
Seemingly through tears, the actor spoke at the event, and he went ahead to show gratitude towards the media in his speech for “making him responsible.”
It’s been 25 years now of Hrithik Roshan
“25 years! I remember 25 years ago, when Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was released, I was so shy and so nervous that I didn’t give a single interview. I didn’t go out of my house to do anything. I just skipped the entire promotional event. It’s been 25 years now, and sadly, that aspect of me has not changed. I’m still that shy. Excuse me, as well as this is an opportunity for me to say things to all of you that I’ve never probably said in 25 years,” he said.
In fact, I think you’re all probably the people who’ve helped me become the human and the actor that I am today in these twenty-five years through coming together. Through all the questions and answers you have made me feel made me feel uncomfortable, I grew with that. Sometimes you made me feel responsible, sometimes you made me feel accountable. Guys, not good for a shy guy! Guys, not good for a shy guy,” Hrithik added.
Hrithik has always received a lot of cheer from the media in the past, and even this small intimate bash organised by this actor despite it being such a close and cosy affair was able to evoke loud cheering from the members of the press.
“You know, it is you who go to them, telling them how to see me and how to understand me. It is your perception that you shared with the world that made them see me in that way. Thank you for that. Thank you for making, contributing so much to my journey,” he finished.
Hrithik’s initial film was directed by his father Rakesh Roshan. After so many years, the film is going to hit theaters again on the occasion of Hrithik’s birthday.
