Chunky Pandey recalled, “SRK had bonding to his credit with my real brother, Chikki Pandey, who was always younger to him in Mumbai”. The Khans visited Panday family several times over at their home and as such have bonding on warmness and shared passion on countless video cassettes watching times. “They used to come meet my brother, sab beth ke video cassettes dekhte the”, remembered Chunky.

Video cassettes would make a person remember the good old times, but for SRK and Gauri, it was bonding time and companionship. These moments that were spent in close intimacy at Chunky Panday’s place would provide much-needed relief from the din of starting a new chapter in a new city. “Shah Rukh sir has this amazing quality of making the person in front of him feel like the Badshah,” Ananya revealed. One memory that sticks out in her mind was when SRK declared her and two others his “lucky charms” after the Kolkata Knight Riders won its first IPL.
