Earlier this week, Vikrant Massey spoke about wanting to completely step away from acting for a quite long time, only to concentrate on his personal life.
This revelation of Vikrant Massey threw his fans off the track: withdrawal from acting, after which he left fans to ponder whether the actor was going to retire. But, Vikrant was shooting and currently working in Dehradun for his upcoming film.
Vikrant Massey Back to Work
Vikrant was recently spotted strolling around deharadun. He currently shoots for his yet-to-be-released film ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ along with Shanaya Kapoor. As for the buzz, this is because just a few days back Vikrant announced breaking away from acting, sending all his fans into jubilation.
With the team shooting in Dehradun, Vikrant was seen donned in a black puffer jacket. A video of him meeting Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami surfaced online showing him greeting the politician. It showed them shaking hands and having a chat. Meanwhile, Shanaya was spotted with a sweater and denim pant.
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan will take on a modern approach to romances and disappearances after dates. For now, it is still a mystery what the story holds. The latest reports indicate that this movie is directed by Santosh Singh and produced by Mansi and Varun Bagla. Written by Niranjan Iyengar and Mansi Bagla, music is set to be composed by Vishal Mishra.
Vikrant Massey plans a Break
On Monday, Vikrant went public through his Instagram handle to announce the pause from films after 2025. “Last few years have been wonderful, have been more than that. I thank each one for the indelible support. But moving forward, I realize it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & Son, And also as a Actor,” Vikrant wrote in the note attached. He further stated, “So coming 2025, we would again meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. The last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between.”
However, later on, he clarified that his commentary was not about retirement. He mentioned that in a conversation with News18 Showsha, Vikrant broke his silence on the quitting rumor.
Vikrant Massey Clarifies his Statement
“I’m not retiring… Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss home and health are also acting up… People misread it [the social media post],” Vikrant told the media in News18 Showsha, adding, “Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have. My physical and mental health have taken a hit. I just want to take some time off, in order to better my craft. At the moment I feel like there’s a sense of monotony. My post has been misinterpreted. That I am quiting or retiring from acting. I would be focused on my family and health for some time and I am coming back when it feels right.”
He added: “This is all I can do; it has given me everything else in my life. It has affected my physical and mental health. I want to take a break, and I want to better my craft. I’m feeling a little flat right now. My post has been misinterpreted: that I am quitting or retiring from acting. I want some time away from everything to amass some family time and focus on health. I’ll return when it feels right.”
