Pushpa 2: Was Shraddha Kapoor Paid Much Less Than Samantha for Allu Arjun’s Track ‘Oo Antava’? Here’s What We Know

Shraddha Kapoor was said to be approached for doing a special song for Allu Arjun in Pushpa 2, but the latest reports have it that the request she made for an exorbitant fee amount was turned down. The Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava Song is a landmark in the 14-year-long actor career of Samantha.

This was her first-ever ‘item number’, which went on to become one of the major highlights in Allu Arjun’s blockbuster hit film Pushpa: The Rise (2021). So, when Shraddha Kapoor, who was riding high on the success of Stree 2, was announced to have a similar special song in the sequel, the internet was divided. Some believe this will be the game-changer for Shraddha; some think she won’t make it into Samantha’s league. And all assumptions can be laid to rest now because Shraddha is not doing the project anymore.

At least that’s the latest development in this casting rumour. Media reported that Shraddha was in talks with the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule for a special song with Allu Arjun, but the actor apparently rejected the offer because ‘negotiations’ did not work out.

Apparently, Shraddha had quoted a fee of ₹5 crores and reportedly was in for a package that would equal what Samantha took home from Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava.

Shraddha Kapoor’s demand which was not met with a nod from the Pushpa 2 makers that spoilt the deal.

So, who will Allu Arjun now dance with all? The viral report brought out the fact that the makers made a U turn and returned to Samantha for yet another chartbuster hit. There is more, however! The actress Samantha, along with Pushpa, will join the very beautiful Sreeleela. She last featured opposite Mahesh Babu in the Telugu action drama Guntur Kaaram. Shraddha’s exit might break a few hearts, but this casting coup will be worth following.

Actress Sreeleela to replace Shraddha Kapoor for special song in Pushpa 2 According to Report

Fans can’t wait any further as the Pushpa 2 release date is almost near. It has now been reported that Sreeleela will do the item song instead of the one being said to have Bollywood’s Shraddha Kapoor for it.
Earlier, it was reported that Shraddha Kapoor was in discussions for a special song in Pushpa 2 and the names were also floating between Triptii Dimri. As per the reports in Hindustan Times Telugu, Sreeleela is leading the race currently. Meanwhile, there are also rumors that Samantha is returning, and she might share the screen with Sreeleela in Pushpa: The Rule.

Fans are gearing up with excitement as they say that Sreeleela, who won everyone’s hearts through her dancing skills in Ravi Teja’s Dhamaka and Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram is said to join Pushpa 2. With the special track with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Allu Arjun, this is probably going to surpass all those memorable dance tracks.

Pushpa: The Rise has a story of Pushpa Raj, a coolie who rises through the ranks of an illegal red sandalwood syndicate. The sequel will go on to explain more of his rule and his journey and encounters.
