Is Vikrant Massey taking a break from OTT? The truth behind the buzz

Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey, known for scintillating performances from web and OTT platforms along with theatrical releases, has finally busted the speculations put up about his supposed break-up from OTT films. Having easily navigated the transition between the web series and commercial cinema, Vikrant clarified it wasn’t that he’d broken away from OTT films but just waiting for an apt script to return.

Waiting for the Right Script

Talking about OTT projects, he shared, “I haven’t stopped doing OTT projects, but I’m waiting for the right script to make a comeback. If the script is good, I will do that project irrespective of the medium.” He’s killing the rumor of being an exit from the very platform where his career has started.

Ever since the huge success of his recent release 12th Fail, Vikrant Massey has become a little picky regarding the projects that he commits himself to. He says he was loved for the film, but along with that comes the price of increased fan expectations over his next work. In that sense, while he had a bash for being good in 12th Fail, the mixed result of The Sabarmati Report reminded him that the reactions are always capricious.

While he had received appreciation for the versatility that he showed in films like Sector 36, A Death in the Gunj, and Haseen Dillruba, Vikrant has faced criticism. Speaking about the hate he received for The Sabarmati Report, he said that most of the times, audiences make judgments about his characters based on ease rather than an understanding of them.

Social media trolls have become part of the professional hazards that he has learned to live with. While he tends to ignore faceless online negativity, Vikrant is dismayed when the attacks include his family. However, he stays focused on his mission to tell stories that deeply resonate with him.

A Career Built on Unique Choices

From television serials to OTT series such as Mirzapur and Broken But Beautiful, Vikrant Massey has carved his niche with offbeat characters. His cinematic journey has a mix of organic opportunities and deliberate choices. Early in his career, he took up whatever came his way and, by nature, ended up being attracted to the more offbeat characters, even in television.

With time, his attraction towards offbeat stories was a conscious choice. Vikrant says, \”Whether it’s a commercial film or one with a deeper message, I choose projects with lasting value.\” As inspired by his father who loved the classics, he wants to be a part of stories that would be cherished by generations ahead.

Besides professional accomplishments, Vikrant Massey has the personal life he holds close to his heart. One such precious aspect is fatherhood. Talking about being a father, he says, “It’s the best role of my life.” His son, Vardaan, has brought an unmatched happiness and satisfaction, becoming the centre of his daily life. Coming home to the beaming face of his son is, as Vikrant puts it, “something which cannot be described.”.

Fatherhood has not only improved his personal life but also made him as a person. Vikrant Maseey says that Vardaan is the biggest gift that he has received in life, and the experience has made him a better person.

As Vikrant Massey keeps moving forward in the direction of his changing career, it remains quality storytelling that leads to his focus, whether on OTT or at the cinema. This makes him more endearing not only to fans but also to industry peers in equal measure.

While his return to OTT is eagerly awaited, commitment to meaningful roles makes it sure that his audience could expect nothing but the best. For now, though, the actor waits and remains selective, only ready for scripts that align with his artistic vision.

Vikrant Massey has always stamped his career with bold choices and unwavering passion for his craft, proving time and again why he is one of the most promising talents from Bollywood. Whether on the big screen, digital platforms, or in his cherished role as a father, Vikrant Massey continues to inspire with his authenticity and dedication.
