Jio Studios released a teaser of the song and only credited B Praak and Tanishk Bagchi. The Sky Force team tagged Manoj Muntashir in the caption.

An irate tweet was posted by lyricist-screenwriter Manoj Muntashir after the Skyforce team dhathi dere khud not credited him for his work in writing an upcoming song titled: Maaye. Manoj was quick to take up to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday in warning the makers of Skyforce-Jio Studios, Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, and Saregama Global-of legal action.

What made Manoj Furious

On Tuesday, Jio Studios released the teaser of the song on X. Maaye has been sung by B Praak with music by Tanishk Bagchi. The brief clip credited the song to the duo but did not mention Manoj. However, the Sky Force team tagged him Manoj in the caption.

It read, “Maaye-an ode to the bravehearts who gave it all to defend their motherland. Presenting the #Maaye, The Anthem of Heroes, out tomorrow. #SkyForce releases in cinemas this Republic Week, on 24th January 2025.”

Frustrated over the credit being denied to writers, lyricist-screenwriter Manoj Muntashir took to social media opposing the makers of Skyforce- Jio Studios, Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, and Saregama Global. They put out the song teaser yesterday in honor of the upcoming picture starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur. The teaser for the song Maaye credits B Praak and Tanishk Bagchi as the composer’s and singer’s names, but there was no mention of Manoj anywhere.

He stated on social media: “This song is not just sung or composed; it is written by a person who has given all clam in blood and sweat to create. To erase the name of the writer from the credits at the opening shows total disrespect for the craft and fraternity by the makers. I am keeping track of this publicity as it pertains to the main song that releases tomorrow in my intention to disown the song and ensure my voice is raised within the law of the land. Shame.” While credited in the post, omitting his name in the teaser seems unfair, no?

What Manoj Reacted

Reacting to the post, Manoj wrote, “Notice please @jiostudios,@MaddockFilms @saregamaglobal This song does not solely sang and composed by someone who has given all his blood and sweat to it, but also written by somebody who has put in all his blood and sweat into it.”

“Not putting a writer’s name in the opening credits shows the utter disrespect that has been shown to the art and fraternity by the makers. If not corrected immediately, including the main song that releases tomorrow, I will disown the song and ensure my voice is heard by the law of the land. Shame. @IPRSmusic,” he added.
