Sonu Sood reveals the Challenges faced during ‘Fateh’
While the quite animated stunts for Fateh come from the hands of international stunt director Lee Whittaker, who is known for Captain Marvel and Fast & Furious 5.
Actress Sonu Sood admits to the challenges she faced while directing her debut film, Fateh, in which the battle against cybercrime becomes the center of action and plot. The story is inspired by actual events during the depressed Covid-19 pandemic.
In a conversation with ANI, he talked about directing the film, saying, “Yes, I want to direct more films. I really enjoyed directing this film; it’s about the experience and satisfaction you get as a director, so surely prepare for the second soon.”
One of Fateh’s biggest draws is its action sequences. With international stunt director Lee Whittaker known for Captain Marvel and Fast and Furious 5, the film’s high-octane stunts are drawn on. The film’s music has also been iconic. To the Moon, a song by Hans Zimmer, raises the stakes.

Sonu shared his difficulties that he faced while making his debut. “I wanted to work with the best of the best in the world. A lot of people, including the action director who shot Fast and Furious, Jurassic Park and the song which was written by Hans Zimmer, To the Moon… so getting all these people from Hollywood was a big challenge but I, like I said when you are doing your first you have to make sure you get the best.”
“So we start off a scam and cybercrime saga,” Sonu shared, and further goes on, “That, and whatever one might think of, comes with pros and cons. The types of scams we face; they are deepfakes, instant loan apps that have even written in a very simple way-they generally target the needy.
Believe me, it’s not just a story about a rich or famous person scammed, but it’s about suffering of the common man when there is a scam happening. This is something we need to keep a little alarmed to every single common man in this country. When you are using these mobile phones, you should always be cautious. It has something which can change your life.”

“He added, You need to inform yourself and try and inform others around you, especially elders and the common man, about these scams. When in need, that’s when you’re gullible, most vulnerable, and eyed for attack. I think at school and college, they have to come to notice that these scams are happening around you. The new generation is more alert about it.”
He also expressed thanks to his fans for showering their love on his project. “Thank you so much for the wishes. Yes, the whole team is pretty excited, the film is doing well in the second weeks also. We have more shows which also give you a feeling that we are on the right track and people love the film, they are coming back again and again to watch the film so it is a satisfying feeling as an actor and director for the first time and I am sure that this week is also going to be rocking as well.”
“I always wanted to do action that no one has seen on screen, so I think Fateh was one of those things that I will remember and cherish all my life. This is an action sequence that all Indians should be proud of. I feel that, but I said that I am a first-time filmmaker. There is so much to learn, but I am definitely going to try and give it my best in the second film,” he continues.
