The nominations this year was highly competitive with Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar at the top with 16, Guns & Gulaabs followed with 12 and Kaala Paani with 8. Seven nominations each Kota Factory Season 3, Made in Heaven Season 2 and Mumbai Diaries Season 2 made headlines.

Well, an evening with two powerhouse performances – of Kareena Kapoor Khan in Jaane Jaan, and Diljit Dosanjh as the lead character inspired by the legendary Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila – is sure to get everyone shining bright. For best actor and best actress categories separately, Kareena was winning hands up when she performed in Jaane Jaan, where vulnerability matched equally well with strength, all through her performance. Here, Diljit Dosanjh, playing Amar Singh Chamkila, depicted the legend with no signs of match.

These wins not only talked about talent but also said that mainline Bollywood is beginning to feel the pulse in the OTT space.
