Ranbir Kapoor’s “Ramayana” will be released as two separate films: part one in 2026 and part two in 2027.

The actor has come to share in the interview with Midday concerning the inability of his friend, Ranbir, to speak for himself about taking the part. He went ahead to share with his very visible concerns about Ranbir being very impossible to cut out from the image of his real life.

“I won’t say a word on this as if I say anything, they will call me a person commenting on everyone and everything. They have brought down my reputation. Recently, I said something about Jackie Shroff’s son … but I am not rude; I just speak my mind. If they are making a Ramayana, comparisons to Arun Govil are inevitable.” this he said refers to the actor who played Ram in the famous televised adaptation of this epic.

As per Mukesh, Arun Govil’s enactment has now established the gold standard, before adding that anyone who plays the part of Ram “should not necessarily look like Raavan.” In what seems to be a dig at Ranbir, Mukesh said that if “they are a lampat chhichhora in real life, then it will show on screen,” and added that if one plays Ram, one should not party and drink.

Mukesh went on to state, using Prabhas’s failure in Adipurush as an example, “He was not accepted by the public even being such a huge star. Not because he is a bad actor, but because he does not look like Ram. The actor now playing Ram is a beacon of the Kapoor family. He is a fine actor.” But I will look at his face and he should look like Ram. Just after doing Animal, that person has been really given his dark character in that film. I hope that does not do anything here.
