Recently, Punjabi music icons AP Dhillon and Karan Aujla lit up the stage at Aujla’s concert in Mumbai. Not only were waves created for their performances but also for a bold statement made by Dhillon. Amid his ongoing feud with fellow artist Diljit Dosanjh, AP Dhillon surprised the audience with his presence and made headlines with his striking remarks about social media.

A Viral Moment in Mumbai

At the electrifying concert, Dhillon accompanied Aujla on stage where they sang their chart-topping track “Brown Munde.” Their friendship with each other was glaring, thus making a total contradiction of the popular assumption that Punjabi artists don’t get along. On the contrary, it is Dhillon’s mouth, more than his voice that captured everyone’s attention. In a viral video, Dhillon said, “A narrative is being pushed that these guys don’t like each other, they don’t get along. But I’m gonna tell you one thing—this social media is all corrupt, and all that matters is who is keeping it real.”

Setting the Record Straight

Dhillon’s comments come at a time when his feud with Diljit Dosanjh has become a hot topic. This debate arose after Dhillon claimed that Dosanjh had blocked him from social media after Dhillon gave a shoutout to “Crew” actor during his one of the performances. According to Dhillon in his statement, he critiqued the false tales being floated online and brought out the authenticity that’s needed in the music field. “Music is not competition; there is no winner, no loser; it all depends on who remains original.

The Accusations and Rebuttals

The controversy created quite a buzz with Dosanjh coming back to the fore, replying in his own style. He shared an Instagram story in which Diljit posted a screenshot of Dhillon’s profile, claiming he had never blocked the “Old Money” singer. This prompted a back-and-forth response between the two singers, wherein Dhillon later released what he described as “proof” of Dosanjh blocking him and then unblocking him. It didn’t take long for fans from both sides to jump into the debate on social media.

Badshah’s Call for Unity

When the battle got heated, popular rapper Badshah intervened. Posting on social media, Badshah asked both artists to keep away from any uncalled for quarrel. “We are all part of the same family,” he wrote. “Let’s not repeat the same mistakes others have made. If we want to go far, we need to go together.” Badshah’s message was well-taken by fans, as many praised his efforts at keeping unity within the Punjabi music fraternity.

AP Dhillon’s comments at Aujla’s concert speak to a broader issue in the digital age today: the role of social media in public perception. While Instagram and Twitter have provided artists with unprecedented reach, they also have become breeding grounds for misinformation and negativity. The criticism of social media by Dhillon as being “corrupt” speaks to the challenges artists face in an environment driven by clicks and engagement.

Fans Respond

Fans of both Dhillon and Dosanjh have taken sides in the feud, with some defending Dhillon’s right to speak out and others accusing him of seeking attention. Meanwhile, supporters of Dosanjh have lauded his calm response, viewing it as a sign of maturity. Social media platforms have been flooded with comments, memes, and videos dissecting the feud, making it one of the most talked-about topics in the Punjabi music scene.

What’s Next?

Despite the drama, the two, AP Dhillon and Diljit Dosanjh, are still at the peak with fans eagerly waiting for whatever’s next. Whether it all gets resolved or simmered down, only time can tell. Meanwhile, for now, Dhillon’s appearance at Karan Aujla’s concert, coupled with his fiery comments, has added another level of depth to his versatile character, making him an artist not willing to mince words and to speak his mind.

As the Punjabi music industry continues to soar, moments like these remind fans of the importance of unity and authenticity in the face of digital chaos. Whether through music or words, Dhillon’s message is clear: staying real is what truly matters.
