Rozlyn Khan accuses Hina Khan of making her Cancer story Bigger and using it to Grab Attention
Rozlyn Khan, who had been bedridden after contracting stage 4 cancer, has accused Miss Hina Khan of spreading misinformation about her sickness and using it for her publicity.
Hina has been quite open about her whole journey with breast cancer on social media. However, in her recent interview with News18, Rozlyn Khan, a stage 4 cancer survivor herself, accused Khan of misinformation and using her cancer treatment to promote her career.
Rozlyn believes Hina is acting Light-Headed
“Uhm, Hina Khan, did she not give the details of an unbearable surgery and instead mainly exaggerated her surgery? “It is an impossible lie that her mastectomy lasted for 15 hours. It is exaggeration. In stage four, when I had mine, mine lasted, at max, 8 hours or 10 and 16 lymph nodes were removed. It was a major surgery. In fact, she just mentioned that her surgery lasted for 15 hours. Which surgery was she talking about? Did she mention whether it was MRM or what?”

She further interrogated Hina Khan about traveling across the globe, while in actual practice cancer patients are generally advised to stay away from crowds for the duration of their chemotherapy. “Patients could see trouble if they modeled themselves after her,” Rozlyn said. Rozlyn also then went on to accuse Hina of using her cancer treatment as a publicity stunt, and in her words, “It’s all about her, not talking about the treatments she’s taking.
It’s all behind closed doors. It is a dubious claim that she is in stage three. Every single byte or interview only goes back on herself in terms of her courage and bravery. No one would mind. In India, there is no law against spreading misinformation about any medical procedure or treatment, and that is where it gets misused.”
Rozlyn Khan is an actress and a model, as well as a stage 4 cancer survivor. In 2024, Hina mentioned that she was diagnosed with cancer and has been openly communicating her experience and has periodically shared her updates of her journey with the illness on social media.

Last year, Hina was shooting for Griha Lakshmi in Uttarakhand, completely unaware of the cancer brewing inside her. “I was diagnosed once I came back to Mumbai after finishing the shoot. I had it, but I wasn’t aware.” Had she known about it, she feels it would have weighed down on her psyche and body while shooting. “The treatment drains you down,” she explains.
Since her diagnosis last year, Hina has kept the world informed about her journey, chronicling updates on social media. She explains why: “What gives me peace and happiness is when I share a story that can make one peaceful and help another timer along the way.”
Hina has spent years in the television industry and recently stepped into the streaming world, admitting that this new medium is “1,000% different.” She explains, “Everyone knows television is OTT- It’s, with all respect, over the top. I don’t mean over the top in the sense that television actors are overacting, or they don’t know how to act. What I mean to say is that the television is such that you do need to give a performance which is over the top. Any hint of subtlety or quietness on-screen is likely to be lost on the audience.”
