Bollywood fans have been counting the days until they get to see the teaser of Salman Khan’s much-awaited action film Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the teaser is scheduled for a December 27 release, coinciding with Salman’s birthday, but the team took a sensitive decision to postpone it, as former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away on December 26 at the age of 92.

The production house shared the update through their official X handle, condoling and stating that the teaser would now be released on December 28 at 11:07 AM. Their message read:

“In the wake of the demise of our great former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we are sad to inform you that the teaser of Sikandar will now be launched on 28th December at 11:07 AM. Our thoughts are with the nation during this time of mourning. Thank you for understanding. – #TeamSikandar“

This gesture is a respect paying to the fact that Bollywood is actually able to match its glamour with nationalism, and this resonates well across cinema halls.

What’s brewing in Sikandar? Salman Khan’s suave action avatar awaits!

Fans of Salman Khan are abuzz with excitement regarding his role in Sikandar. According to reports, the actor will sport a very urbane, action-oriented avatar and will be bringing in something new and electrifying. AR Murugadoss, who is known for adrenaline-pumping narratives, has penned a story that offers not just action but something more layered to keep people glued to the screen.

The teaser of the film will be a preview to the gripping cinematic experience that awaits, giving a glimpse into high-octane action sequences and Salman’s presence.
Salman is said to have gone all out to prepare for character over the last year or so. Sikandar is meant to be a career-defining project for him.

AR Murugadoss & Salman Khan: The Collab That Almost Didn’t Happen

Interesting in that Sikandar will mark Salman Khan’s first outing with AR Murugadoss, while Salman almost collaborated with the director way back when Ghajini went to Aamir Khan. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala also has been exploring options with Salman, including a sequel of Kick. However, those plans didn’t materialize so Sikandar becomes that much more important a film.

This coming together of three cinematic giants—Salman, Murugadoss, and Nadiadwala—is considered a match made in Bollywood heaven. With their collective expertise, Sikandar has all the ingredients to become a blockbuster of epic proportions.
