The Shocking Reason Why Sonu Sood Rejected the Villain Role in Dabangg 2

The actor, Sonu Sood, recently spoke to the media about what his character, Chhedi Singh of the blockbuster Dabangg in 2010, said to them. He stated that he was offered the same role in Dabangg 2, but he had declined that offer as it was not stimulating enough for him.

The Offer and Sonu’s Decision
In an honest conversation with the portal *Humans of Bombay, Sonu Sood stated that Salman, and Arbaaz whom he considers as his family member, offered him to play brother of Chhedi Singh in Dabangg 2. However, in his opinion, the character was a bore, and this script was not ready to click.

“I was not thrilled to play the character,” said Sonu Sood. An actor working on a project must feel excited for that, as feels him Salman. “How will I then fulfill my obligations in the film if I don’t feel exciting to play?” he quizzed. The brothers agreed to his reasoning and stood with his decision.

Sonu had attended the Dabangg 2 premiere, which was scheduled for Salman as an invitation after his film. Though it could not gain success like the first part, it still survived at the box office. The franchise took a massive blow when Dabangg 3 did not even reach near the mark that was expected.
