TOP 20 Highest Grossing Indian Films Worldwide: Pushpa 2 Surpasses RRR for Third Spot
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has created a storm at the box office by surpassing RRR and standing third in the list of highest-grossing Indian films worldwide. The film, although its collections abroad are lower than the domestic collection, is already writing new record books.
Pushpa 2 Continues its Phenomenal Run
After a sensational run since its release, Pushpa 2 added approximately Rs. 33 crore to its worldwide total on its second Monday, pushing its gross to Rs. 1259 crore. The domestic and overseas split stands at Rs. 1039.50 crore and Rs. 219.50 crore, respectively. With this, the Allu Arjun starrer overtook RRR (Rs. 1253 crore), claiming the third spot in the list of the highest-grossing Indian films.
Currently, Pushpa 2 lags behind Dangal and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Though it has emerged as the second highest-grossing film in India, it does not find a place among the top fifteen in the overseas market.
Can Pushpa 2 Break More Records?
The film’s home run has set new benchmarks, and it is now all set to break the record by Baahubali 2 to become the highest grosser in India. However, at the global level, Pushpa 2 isn’t going to surpass Rs. 1744 crore of Baahubali 2 worldwide.
That said, surpassing the original box office run of Baahubali 2 could still happen. The movie raked in Rs. 1650 crore across the globe during its first outing, followed by Rs. 94 crore added from releases in China and Japan.

How 3D Charges Could Change the Rankings
It is to be noted that the above numbers do not include 3D charges as 3D charges are not generally included in Indian box office collections. If 3D charges are included, the rankings could shift marginally:
- RRR would regain the third spot with a gross in the range of Rs. 1285-1290 crore.
- Kalki 2898 AD would jump to seventh spot with Rs. 1040 crore.
- 2.0 would jump to fourteenth place with a cumulative gross of Rs. 698 crore.
Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 continues breaking records and setting the benchmark for Indian cinema. Its box office collections are massive, which indicates that the film has extraordinary appeal in the domestic markets. Its overseas is not even close to something like Dangal or RRR. The way it is traveling currently, Pushpa 2 is ready to create history as it becomes India’s biggest grosser domestically.
