The family- husband Saif Ali Khan, brother Ranbir Kapoor, sister-in-law Alia Bhatt, and sister Karisma Kapoor-made all the headlines over the visit but one special souvenir has caught attention for her little boys, Taimur and Jeh Ali Khan.

The Kapoor family was in Delhi to request an invitation from the Prime Minister for the Raj Kapoor Film Festival. It was being organized in memory of the legendary filmmaker-actor, Raj Kapoor, on his 100th birth anniversary. Kareena’s sons are now talk of the town as they have received a personalized note from PM Modi and her family’s heartwarming gesture.

Special Note from PM Modi for Tim and Jeh

Kareena Kapoor had shared some pictures that surfaced from the meeting over on her Instagram account with a glimpse of the special occasion. There was a picture of signing an autograph by the Prime Minister himself, which was actually meant for her sons addressed in a very affectionate way with the names “Tim and Jeh”. She had captioned the post just a note of gratitude.

“We are greatly humbled and honoured to have been invited by Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to remember the extra-ordinary life and legacy of our grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor.

The gesture by PM Modi had touched fans and followers, as it showed he was part of the event’s cultural significance at his personal level.

The Kapoor Family Visit

The Kapoor clan had veteran actor Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Bharat Sahni, Rima Jain, Aadar Jain, Armaan Jain, Anissa Malhotra, Nitasha Nanda, Manoj Jain, and Nikhil Nanda at the Delhi meeting. The extended family posed with PM Modi for photos on the proud and happy occasion.

In one of the pictures, she is seen standing beside PM Modi as he signs the autograph. Another picture reveals the signed page, which would be a treasure for her children.


The Raj Kapoor Film Festival

The highlight of the Kapoor family visit was when they invited PM Modi to the Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival. This was an event to celebrate the legendary filmmaker on his centenary year. Raj Kapoor was the one they called the “Showman of Indian Cinema,” the pioneer whose films have gone down in the memories of audiences all over the world.

The three-day festival is going to happen between 13th and 15th December, thanks to PVR INOX Limited, in association with the Film Heritage Foundation. This is surely going to be one of the most inclusive retrospectives ever offered to the cinema created by Raj Kapoor.

It will showcase his majestic classics like the following:

Awara (1951)

Shree 420 (1955)

Sangam (1964)

Mera Naam Joker (1970)

The festival will screen in 101 cinemas across 34 cities, introducing Raj Kapoor’s visionary filmmaking to a new generation of audiences while stirring nostalgia in long-time fans.
