The Diwali box office clash of 2024 will be etched in the history books as one of the biggest in Indian cinema because Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again are coming on the same day. It not only has captured the imagination of the moviegoers but also shattered records by outdoing all previous Diwali collections and setting a new milestone in the history of Bollywood.

Coming into one frame, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan and Singham Again with Ajay Devgn have minted an unbelievable 272.20 cr thus far in the first weekend, making it the biggest ever collection at Diwali. The feat has seen the old record of an unbeaten over seven-year-period, that of Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar and Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again in 2017 stand broken.

The Record-Breaking Clash: A Historic Diwali Weekend

It was simply an epic Diwali battle. On the one hand, though the two co-exist, they have done rather well while raking massive collections irrespective of the serious competition faced. Both managed to exceed the 100-crore mark over Diwali weekend and for that very reason became Indian cinema’s first two flicks in history to gain such results simultaneously during a festival of the same timespan. One of the biggest hits of this year was the duo: Kartik Aaryan and Ajay Devgn, and only they could pull the crowds.

The cop thriller Singham Again by Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe gathered a whopping 144.20 crores.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the horror-comedy sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa, earned 128 crores for the same period.

Together, the movies have set a benchmark for the Diwali weekend as they outshine each earlier clash and establish firmly into the box office records.
