Bollywood’s young star, Veer Pahariya, has finally come out in public and commented on the news which surfaced due to his appearance along with his brother Shikhar Pahariya on Koffee With Karan’s latest episode that aired with Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in 2022. It was really an intense controversy among the media that brought out sudden focus towards Pahariya brothers with two of the Bollywood’s youth power stars by their side.

The Koffee With Karan Moment

The fun revelations and candid confessions of the stars did fill the episode in question, but the bombshell was left by Karan Johar quite casually when he revealed the past relationships of Sara and Janhvi. According to the filmmaker, both the actresses had earlier dated the Pahariya brothers. While Sara Ali Khan had once been in a relationship with Veer, Janhvi Kapoor was in a relationship with Shikhar.

Karan Johar also revealed that Sara and Janhvi were both ex-residents of his building and that both had, at different times, dated the Pahariya siblings. The whole thing created a big stir as it is something that was yet to come out in public. It was a shock to many as the Pahariya brothers were known to be low-profile, given their association with the film industry.

Veer’s reaction to the Koffee with Karan episode

Veer Pahariya recently chatted with Bollywood interviewer Siddharth Kannan about how he feels regarding the Koffee With Karan mention. The actor, who debuted in Sky Force with Akshay Kumar, said that he never knew he would ever be a topic of conversation on the show. Veer revealed that he didn’t know anything about what had transpired until it went on air on television.

Veer explained during his conversation, “Toh jab hua to main hairaan tha kyunki pata nahin bada platform hai aur main AD tha tabhi ek film pe aur main to chahta tha ki koi kuch jaane nai, abhi sab log jaanne lag gaye to thoda embarrassing ho gaya tha mere liye bas.” (When it got aired, I was very surprised because it’s a big platform. I was an AD on a film at that time and I didn’t want anyone to know me, but then everybody suddenly knew me, and it was a little embarrassing for me).

Veer naturally reacted this way, considering he was still working in the film industry in the background as an Assistant Director at that time. He had still not entered the limelight as an actor and did not wish to show himself personally in the public eye. The episode brought him a wave of public attention he was not prepared for, and Veer felt a little uncomfortable with what was happening.

Life in the Spotlight

True to the general expectations, even his friends could not resist poking fun at Veer over the sudden increase in the number of views following the show. It’s no wonder he managed a laugh and told them that he didn’t have too many friends, so he did not care what people said about him. But indeed, this attention was something he had not prepared for.

Veer emphasized that, at that time, he was not publicly involved in any high-profile relationships and hadn’t made any statements regarding his personal life. Because of this, whatever was written about him became the subject of public belief. For someone who wasn’t actively in the spotlight, this kind of attention was not something Veer was ready for. Yet, he seemed to take it in stride, revealing his preference for staying out of the limelight.

Sara Ali Khan and Veer Pahariya’s past relationship started before Sara made her Bollywood debut in Kedarnath. The two reportedly had a brief relationship, which ended before Sara became famous. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya were in a highly publicized on-and-off relationship that led to their reconciliation after a few years of separation.

While the public was largely in the dark about these relationships prior to the Koffee With Karan episode, the revelation by Karan Johar sparked a wave of curiosity. It also led fans to question how much of the personal lives of celebrities should be shared publicly. The Pahariya brothers, though not directly involved in the film industry’s daily drama, had their lives turned upside down after the episode aired.

Veer Pahariya’s Journey in Bollywood

Even though the personal drama and media attention, Veer Pahariya has continued to focus on his acting career. His debut film, Sky Force, has gained attention for his performance, especially alongside Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. Veer has managed to carve his own path in the industry, despite the initial media frenzy surrounding his personal life.

Shikhar, on the other hand, has not made any public statement about the episode, but it is evident that the mention of both brothers in the Koffee With Karan episode was a big moment for the Pahariya family. As Veer is getting more and more into the film industry, it seems that the Pahariya brothers are slowly getting recognition both for their personal lives and their professional endeavors.

Conclusion

Veer Pahariya’s candid comments about his mention on Koffee With Karan reveal the challenges of being thrust into the spotlight unexpectedly. His journey from behind-the-scenes work to his debut in Sky Force has been an exciting one, and the media attention surrounding his personal life only adds to his story. It will be interesting to see how the Pahariya brothers continue to move ahead in their own directions within the industry while trying to manage the pressures of public scrutiny that lie ahead.
