Amitabh Bachchan humbled after ‘Pushpa 2: The Rise’ star Allu Arjun calls him inspiration in a nutshell.

New Delhi, especially on Monday, the megastar Amitabh Bachchan thanked Allu Arjun, who calls himself this Indian actor’s “ardent fan” and claims to draw inspiration from actors such as him, on the star’s movie “Pushpa 2: The Rule”.

Last week at an event, Arjun, 42, was asked about his inspiration as an actor from Hindi cinema.
In his response directed towards the actor, he described nothing but praises for Bachchan, claiming, “The cinema veteran had great impact on us in our growing years”.

Allu Arjun said, -“I’ve Always Admired by Amitabh Bachchan

Bachchan, 82, on Monday, re-tweeted an event video on Monday and conveyed wishes to Arjun.

“Allu Arjun ji, I am highly humbled in your gracious words. You give more than I deserve. All of us are such huge fans of your work and talent. May you continue to inspire all of us. My prayers and wishes to keep you successful!” he wrote on X.

At the launch of his latest film “Pushpa 2” on December 5, Arjun said, “I’ve always admired Amitabh Bachchan for his long career.”

“Amitabh ji inspires me most… I absolutely adore the megastar of the country, Amitabh ji because we have grown up watching his films. He had a great impact on us in our growing years.

“I’m an ardent fan of Amitabh ji. Even today at this age, I keep thinking, even if I get too old, I want to be performing as gracefully as Amitabh ji is doing it. I keep thinking about how you should work as beautifully as Amitabh ji does at 60 or even 80,” as the actor says, the video goes about on social media.

Allu Arjun Crushes Record

If Pushpa 2 continues its collection above ₹50 crore on Saturday and Sunday, it might become the first Indian film to collect ₹50 crore or more for four consecutive days. This is an achievement tremendous enough supported also by word-of-mouth, especially from tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

The Hindi version of the movie has left logic behind by raking these numbers despite a near silent contribution from the Southern belt, wherein the original version remained the undisputed king. This says much regarding the pan-India appeal of Allu Arjun and the Pushpa franchise, which would only cement its status in the annals of times as an all-time cultural phenomenon.

Allu Arjun Blockbuster Hit

The four-day business of Pushpa 2 looks to drive things several notches more than record setter Jawan, which could mint a little short of ₹250 crores on its extended weekend. With nothing major on its way in between today and Christmas, all seems going swimmingly well for Pushpa 2 as it looks at making a possible entry into the ₹500 crore club, besides further establishing its name in Indian cinema history among the biggest of blockbusters ever.

Pushpa 2: The Rule keeps the mass belts tight, with the response coming out to be superb from the audience. While collections do dip slightly, the drop has been more seen in multiplexes on weekdays due to the effect. Early trends have the film coming in at 25-30% lower, but with some healthy evening and night bookings, this could potentially narrow the gap for it and sustain its momentum.
National chains PVRInox and Cinepolis said collections were at ₹15.05 crore by 3 PM on Friday, 28% off ₹21 crore at the same time on Thursday. Still, the weekend will do recovery magic to make this film, which is good to stay on track.
