Social media has not left Allu Arjun alone since a tragic stampede took place at the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad. Critics are questioning the actor’s decision to visit friends and family after he was released from jail when he could have gone to visit the minor victim still in critical condition at the hospital. Breaking his silence, the actor released a statement and explained his actions, stating that it was due to concern for the victim.

Stampede Breaks Out at Pushpa 2 Premiere

The unfortunate incidence happened on December 4 when Pushpa 2: The Rule premiered at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. Allu Arjun, who walked into the theater with wife Sneha Reddy by his side and co-star Rashmika Mandanna also present, was inside it when a stampede broke outside the venue.

The chaos resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman named Revathi. Her young son, Sri Tej, is grievously injured and continues to be under constant medical attention.

Criticism against Allu Arjun has erupted since the accident, as people have started blaming the lack of crowd management for the accident.

Arrest and Release of Allu Arjun

On Friday, he was arrested from his residence concerning the stampede. In fact, his arrest received wide attention in media, and there was widespread waiting for his response from his fans and critics also. Spending a day in prison, Allu Arjun was let out on Saturday, welcomed warmly by family members with an emotional scene that had been captured by several photographs and videos.

Speaking to the press after his release, Allu Arjun condoled the incident and extended his support to the families affected by this. “It’s pretty accidental and purely unintentional. All my love is to the family, and I will do whatever is possible there, he said.

Breaking Silence: Allu Arjun speaks

In response to the criticism, Allu Arjun posted a heartfelt note on Instagram on Sunday. Allu Arjun explained that his lawyer advised him against visiting the hospital or meeting the victim’s family due to the case being in court.

“I am still concerned gravely about young Sri Tej, who is continuously going through medical care due to this accident,” he wrote in a statement. “Because of court cases, I have been not allowed to visit him or any of his family members up to this date. They are always in my heart, and I stand obligated to address their health conditions and family requirements.”

The actor assured that he is keeping a close eye on the situation and will meet with the child and his family at the earliest possible opportunity. The note ended with warm wishes to the boy for a quick recovery.

Social Media Reactions

Despite the explanation, social media remains divided. Many have accused Allu Arjun of prioritizing personal time with his friends and family over showing solidarity with the victims. On the other hand, his supporters have defended him, citing the legal advice mentioned in his statement.

The criticism, however, was amplified when pictures came out of Allu Arjun visiting his uncle, Chiranjeevi, an actor, a few days after his release from jail. His detractors saw this as an inappropriate priority, while fans responded that he is doing everything possible to address the situation within the legal bounds.

The Actor’s Commitment to the Victim’s Family

Despite not being able to visit the hospital, Allu Arjun has promised to take full responsibility for all the medical and financial requirements of the victim’s family. It is in line with what he said at the premiere – that the incident was an unintentional one but regretful.

As Pushpa 2: The Rule continues its historic box office run, Allu Arjun is simultaneously dealing with the fallout from this tragic incident. Fans and industry insiders are watching closely to see how he balances his professional commitments with his personal responsibility toward the affected families.
