Actress Ananya Panday was too thrilled when an image of her appeared on the packets of phuljhari (sparklers). A clip which a fan account posted on Instagram captures an image of Ananya sitting on the couch as her cousin-influencer Alanna Panday enters the room carrying the packets she found at a roadside shop.

Now, Alanna Panday, Ananya’s cousin, has put up a fun vlog about their Diwali celebrations. She also caught the priceless reaction of Ananya upon seeing her picture on the fuljhadi packet. The actress was over the moon as she found that her picture made it into the packet and said it was her dream!

The vlog on Alanna Panday and her hubby Ivor McCray on YouTube shows how the latter brought home a pack of fuljhadi, and Ananya Panday’s face upon it. While Alanna was showing it to her sister, Ananya burst into super-excitement! Her eyes wide up with disbelief, she spoke, “I’m featured on a fuljhadi. That is my goal!” She further showed her mom Bhavana Pandey, saying, “Ma, I’m on the packing of fuljhadi. This (picture) has been taken from my Insta.”

Phuljhari packets have Ananya on them

Alanna just called her and passed the packets. A rather pleasantly surprised Ananya took them and said, “I’m on phuljhari. That’s my dream. Was I actually on it or you’ll made it?” She then called her mother, Bhavana Pandey, and said, “I’m on the phuljhari packet. This is for my Instagram.”

Ananya’s uncle and Alanna’s father Chikki Panday said, “You’re on the phuljhari packet na? You’ve arrived. Trust me.” As people around her clapped, Bhavana said, “Who has put it?” Ananya then said, “I’m very happy.” She then asked the person recording the video, seemingly Alanna’s husband Ivor McCray, “How did you find it?”

He said, “I don’t know on the road and I was like ‘Is that Ananya’? Then I was like I need to buy this.” Ananya’s father Chunky Panday joined them towards the end of the video. Ananya, Chunky and Bhavana held up phuljhari packets, smiled and posed in front of the camera.
Commenting on the post, one fan said, “When you have reached a random phuljhari packet, you know you are a very famous actress.” A user wrote, “I am falling in love with her tbh.”

A comment said, “She is so cute and innocent. Such a sweetheart, I love her.” An Instagram user said, “That means @ananyapanday u got accepted well by Indians. Next destination would be juice ka thella and make-up parlour ka banner.”

Ananya is surely on cloud nine with the success of her Netflix film CTRL. Here, Ananya plays the role of Nella Awasthi, an influencer who uses Artificial Intelligence to erase her ex-boyfriend Joe from her life after a painful breakup.

She will be part of a film based on the 1920s acclaimed lawyer C Sankaran Nair who had a legal fight against the British empire.
