Here’s everything you’ll need to know about this great re-release and why Bareilly Ki Barfi deserves another look at your hearts.

The Magic of Small-Town Love: Why Bareilly Ki Barfi Remains a Success

Bareilly Ki Barfi is one such film where success can be given to its location-the small-town ambiance of Bareilly-which brings an authentic feel to the movie. The story revolves around Bitti Mishra, a tomboy played by Kriti Sanon, who defies norms and becomes bold. She takes solace in a book that mirrors her life and sets off on a journey to meet the author, only to get caught in a web of lies and misunderstandings.

It has managed to capture the feel of small-town India so far, be it the characters it had to speak about or its rustic settings. The movie brings those characters alive for the viewer with the finesse of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and that makes it so even years later. With its re-release into the theatres, this is sure to find the nostalgic fan who has been enthralled by the story of love and friendship set amidst the quaintness of a small town.

Star cast: Why Rajkummar, Kriti and Ayushmann make this film irresistible

Bareilly Ki Barfi, a film based on a unique script and excellent direction, turned out to be a hit simply because of its stellar cast, whose performances made the movie a huge favorite among cinema-goers. The on-screen chemistry of Rajkummar Rao, Kriti Sanon, and Ayushmann Khurrana was the highlight of the film, which had quirky portrayals that found the perfect balance between romance and humor.

One of his most excellent performances, Pritam Vidrohi, this lovesick idiot trapped in a lie. Then comes Kriti Sanon with bold and independent Bitti capturing the essence of a modern woman from small-town roots. The character becomes very relatable and fresh. That’s what Ayushmann Khurrana has done with the role of Chirag Dubey-the publisher caught between truth and lies. Together, they formed a good trio that made the movie a reality.

The film has again come back into the theaters. Audiences will be able to experience once again the brilliance of those actors in their best performances-a very good reason to go to the theaters.

A Glimpse of Victory: How Bareilly Ki Barfi Surprised All

Bareilly Ki Barfi was made on a budget of Rs. 20 crore and then went on to gross over Rs. 58 crore at the box office. Thus, this proves that with heart, humor, and talent, a small-budget film can turn out to be a gold strike. This success story is the testament to good storytelling in the Hindi film industry.

It was also a victory not just for its cast and crew but for the then-backburner genre of romantic comedies. Bareilly Ki Barfi, indeed, revived an interest in that genre but above all put Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari at the helm of a director who could weave simple stories about life and love.
