Actor Mushtaq Khan, abducted on Delhi-Meerut Highway, Tortured for over 12 Hours
It is no unfamiliar sky that surrounds the famous actors Mushtaq Khan, best known for his roles in popular films like Welcome and Stree 2.
A major part of that sky now casts gloom for the actor. His business partner shares actor’s harrowing ordeal of getting kidnapped. Mushtaq Khan, who is best known for his role in Akshay Kumar’s Welcome and Stree 2, was allegedly kidnapped on the pretext of being invited at an event and tortured for 12 hours; and shared the harrowing ordeal of his kidnapping from Delhi Meerut Highway with India Today Digital by his business partner.
What has become of Mushtaq Khan?
Word has it that Mushtaq Khan was invited for an event along with flight tickets and had been sent an advance payment to his account. When he touched down at the airport in Delhi, he was taken to a car, which met him there and drove him away from the city. Somewhere on the way, near to a place called Bijnor, Shivam, his business partner, told how Mushtaq was tortured for 12 hours and demanded ransom amounting to a crore rupees. He also told the portal that more than ₹2 lakh was taken from actor’s and his sons account.

The caller invited him to an event in Meerut where some people will be felicitated. The actor often attended such events, so this was no cause for alarm.
Rahul Saini also promised to pay the actor’s fees for attending the event. He immediately transferred Rs 25,000 through UPI and said he would pay the balance later. The caller also sent him an air ticket from Mumbai to Delhi.
On November 20, Mr Khan landed in Delhi and got into a cab sent by Rahul Saini. Besides the driver, another man was in the car. The car stopped soon and the actor was asked to get into another vehicle. According to the complaint, the same man drove this car and two others sat with Mr Khan. The car stopped again and two more people got in.

Another update from Shivam that when Mushtaq heard early morning sound of Azaan, he realised there would be some mosque somewhere around and ran away from the place. He then sought help from the people and the police to get back home. “Mushtaq sir and his family were quite shaken on how it happened with him.
But he was sure that he would file an FIR in some time once he collected himself. I has gone to Bijnor only yesterday and lodged an official FIR. We have proof of flight ticket, bank accounts and even CCTV footage near the airport. He also knows the neighbourhood, even the house that kept him. I think the police team should, without a doubt, get the culprits soon,” said Shivam.
Mushtaq case is also happened with Sunil Pal
More recently, this same scenario happened with stand-up comedian “Sunil Pal”. He, too, was kidnapped while going to Haridwar for a private function. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of ₹20 lakh from Sunil. With negotiations, Sunil managed to get free after paying close to around ₹8 lakh.
Business partner of Mushtaq Khan expressed his feeling about two celebrities of the industry getting involved in the same ordeal. He said, “We had no clue about the case. After Mushtaq sir returned, we spoke about the incident with a few of our close friends. When Sunil’s case was highlighted in the media, they informed us about the same. It is quite shocking that two public figures have gone through a similar ordeal. We hope that in the future, there is not only awareness but protection for everyone.” At present Mustaq Khan is said to be doing fine and the reports suggest he will speak to the media in few days.
