Swara Bhasker hits back at Trolls trolling her wardrobe Post-Marriage, finds ‘National Debate’ hilarious
Actress Swara Bhasker addressed the trollage she received in her choice of clothes after getting married to politician Fahad Ahmad.
Swara Bhasker recently resorted to Twitter to respond to the trolls who trolled her for her choice of clothes after she married politician Fahad Ahmad. Actor Swara Bhasker never uses fewer words than necessary. She has been known to speak out against online trolls who get her involved in controversies or comment on her personal life and choices. The latest was the tongue-in-cheek remark made by her as a response to people laughing at her ‘conservative’ wardrobe after marriage to NCP leader Fahad Ahmad.
Swara’s response to trolls
Swara shared a meme on herself that features a photo of her and husband Fahad with Maulana Sajjad Nomani. In the photo, Swara was seen wearing a simple salwar-kurta, her head covered with the dupatta. The photo was placed alongside a glam shot of Swara from her acting days, along with a caption before-after, hinting that the actor had turned ‘conservative’ after marriage to the politician.
Swara shared the picture alongside other pictures of herself – two with Fahad – post marriage. In those pictures, the actor wore Western outfits like dresses and an off-shoulder gown. The actor wrote alongside, “I didn’t realize that my wardrobe choices post marriage are a national cyber debate. Here are more pics of me post marriage to give Sanghi vermin more fodder for their dung.”
The actor further ridiculed trolls for dragging her husband and his religion into the matter, adding: “Sorry @FahadZirarAhmad does not fit your stereotype of a conservative Muslim husband. Lol!”
Work and Personal Life of Swara
Swara married Fahad Ahmed a student activist and politician, in February 2023. They welcomed the birth of their daughter Rabiya in September that year. Fahad was from the Samajwadi Party before he shifted to Nationalist Congress Party Sharadchandra Pawar faction. He filed nomination from Anushakti Nagar constituency in Mumbai South-Central for Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024.
Swara last featured in the 2022 films, Jahaan Chaar Yaar and Mimansa. She will next appear in Mrs Falani whose release date has not been communicated yet.
Swara Bhasker reveals her biggest pre-marriage fear
She had a lot of fears before settling down in life by marrying the politician Fahad Ahmad. Swara and Fahad got married through a court marriage last year in February. Recently, while sitting down for an interview with Couple of Things, the actress said that she shocked herself with how many number of fears she had before making this move. Among all those fears, there was one whether she will be invited to Bollywood Diwali parties or not.
During the conversation, Swara said that while she was thinking of marriage, “I did not trust myself at all. I always trusted the wrong people, who mostly let me down. There was also age difference. I just thought it was not possible. It was just too much.”. And it was really shocking for me because I am not someone who would care about ‘Log kya kahenge,‘ but I was so terrified what my parents, and friends would say if I get married.
‘Bollywood Diwali parties mein nahi bulayenge’
She further added on: “The most shocking thing is that I thought ki agar hum saath ho jaaye toh mujhe ‘Bollywood parties’ mein nahi bulayenge, ya Bollywood Diwali parties mein nahi bulayenge (that if we are together they won’t invite me to Bollywood parties… their Diwali parties). This was actually what was coming in my mind, and I couldn’t understand why. It was shocking for me because I don’t filter my words; I don’t care about other people’s reactions; I am quite a frank person. So that was very humbling for me. I told myself internally not to deny it. ‘Its okay, you are feeling this, feel it.”
