Sarah Jessica Parker Made a Great Praise for Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka was awarded an honorary award at the event in Jeddah. This award was conferred upon the actress by fellow actor Sarah Jessica Parker. Of doing so, she said, “It is a true honour to acknowledge Priyanka’s achievement.” “It is my honour to present the Red Sea honorary award to the exceptional Priyanka Chopra Jonas,” said Sarah.
Priyanka was escorted onto the stage by Nick. After realizing the award, Priyanka, in her acceptance speech, said, “Thank you so much Sarah Jessica. You are such an icon to so many of us. To take the time to say those kind words about me and my work over the years, just meant a lot to me”.
Priyanka on what she has been told about ‘non-English movies’
This number reminded her how, during the early years of her career, people told her that non-English films wouldn’t really “travel.” “When I started working, I was 18 years old. I remember being told that, I come from an industry that spoke Hindi and Telugu, non-English films. I remember when I was seeking work across borders, I was told that films with subtitles or films that are non-English don’t travel. Yet, here we are today,” she said.
“You managed to create a beautiful and safe place for filmmakers and storytellers all over the world to come together with no notions of nationality, language, and borders for that. We know, as people who work, and I might be biased, but in one of the best, most incredible industries in the world: We play for a living, we tell stories for a living, we dream about things for a living. You have gotten all to come together beyond borders, languages just to celebrate this: an amazing medium, cinema,” added Priyanka.
Priyanka showers love on Nick: ‘gentleman’
When she looked at Nick Jonas, ‘simply I will thank my family for their unconditional support, because my lovely husband is here waiting to escort me down as a gentleman’.
Priyanka talks about her Memories of her Dad
According to her, Priyanka recalls, “My father was the first performer in my life. I lost him around 2013. However, he taught me the joy of being a person at a party. If there were plenty of people invited to such an event, my father would have been there with them. He showed how a totally confident and completely vulnerable entertainer can be, that is, unabashed entertainer and how completely confident and completely vulnerable at the same time, it can be.”
Priyanka Chopra appreciatively acknowledged her fellow artists and collaborators. She ended her speech by congratulating all winners, filmmakers, and participants in the Red Sea Film Festival, commending that event for bridging the world to cinema. Thankyou
