Not Ajay Devgn! The Superstar Who Stole Kajol’s Heart Before Marriage

Bollywood has witnessed many interesting love stories and confessions by popular celebrities. However, there is one revelation associated with teenage crush by Kajol that still draws people’s hearts towards the affairs. Being very honest about all that she does, Kajol once confessed that when she was still a fresh face in Bollywood, she had developed a tremendous crush on Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. There could not be a better focus on that lesser-known chapter of her life. Another layer to this enchanting personality has once again been discovered.

A Crush That Preceded Love with Ajay Devgn

Kajol, who is today labeled as the other half of Bollywood’s ultimate power couple, along with her husband Ajay Devgn, had fancied Akshay Kumar before her love saga began with Ajay. While everyone knows the journey from being one of Bollywood’s most beloved couples by Kajol and Ajay, a few know about Kajol’s fascination with Akshay Kumar in the 90’s.

Akshay, often referred to as Bollywood’s “Khiladi,” had just started making waves in the industry. His charm, action-packed roles, and impeccable looks made him the heartthrob of the nation. For Kajol, he was more than just a star—he was her on-screen idol and someone she deeply admired.

From Admiration to Collaboration: The ‘Yeh Dillagi’ Chapter

Kajol and Akshay Kumar did the romantic drama Yeh Dillagi in 1994. The film was a commercial success and rescued both the actors from the ordeal of being out of work. For Kajol, needless to say, this was much more: she had been dreaming of working with her teenage heartthrob.

Their on-screen chemistry in Yeh Dillagi was palpable as they received accolades from fans. Akshay’s suave persona as the charming bachelor and Kajol’s girl-next-door appeal struck a chord with audiences. What many didn’t know at the time was Kajol’s excitement about sharing screen space with someone she had once admired from afar.

The Mystery Behind Kajol’s Admiration

Kajol’s infatuation with Akshay Kumar wasn’t solely about his looks or fame either. She has known Akshay from her interviews and also recounts the following: “He was very professional, disciplined, and very dedicated to his craft. These qualities along with his friendly nature added him to be one of the budding demigods in her life.”.

Interestingly, the time she was developing this crush, Akshay Kumar himself did not know the depth of her feelings. They remained merely professional with each other, and the two did grow to respect each other as co-actors.

Kajol’s Journey: Crush to True Love

More than all this, she has the real-life love affair completely separate from her early infatuation with Akshay Kumar. She met Ajay Devgn on the sets of Hulchul in 1995, and their relationship blossomed slowly. The love affair between Kajol and Ajay goes down as one of Bollywood’s most enduring and unconventional romances.

It is now that she feels nostalgic about the past, admitting infatuation with Akshay was a bit of her juvenile frenzy. Her infatuation with Akshay Kumar has only been a sweet story, but her career journey with Ajay Devgn has been the silver thread.

This is the Bollywood Tale of Dreams and Destiny

Kajol’s confession that she was in love with Akshay Kumar at some point of time is a sort of interesting addition to her personality. After all, even the most enormous stars can get star-struck sometimes.

This confession humanizes a favorite actress from the fans, as Kajol grew up like any of us would, idolizing her heroes. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar remains a reigning stalwart of Bollywood’s most successful actors, and Kajol becomes a beloved star with a legacy all in her own right.

Fans of all ages will celebrate the journey of Kajol and appreciate the beautiful uncertainty of life and love in Bollywood along with Yeh Dillagi. And it is in the unwritten tales that the world of cinema becomes more interesting.

This story is a mix of nostalgia, romance, and intrigue as readers are taken into the lives of their favourite stars at every step.
