Bollywood goddess Malaika Arora was always a bold personality with an unparalleled style. She is never one of them because in life, she is always doing things on her terms. Recently, talking openly with Curly Tales, Malaika gave a very empowering message for women, asking them to not lose their financial freedom and their identity even after marriage.

Candid advice by Malaika brought forth the issue women are at the receiving end of in terms of their identities being maintained as regards complex marital relationships dynamics. She continued declaring “Jo tera hai voh tera hai, jo mera hai voh mera hai”, which was to be free in every possible manner.

The actress further elaborated that financial self-dependence was very crucial for the ladies. Malaika always talks about how women in society must break these barriers; thus, she added the necessity for bank accounts among women as well and stated that “I think the least you can do is hang on to your own bank account.”.

This is rather deep for a society in which the women are supposed to let go of financial independence after marriage. Malaika wanted to give voice to this with an intention of urging women toward keeping their financial security up.

Preserving Identity Amidst Relationships

Malaika changed from financial independence to discussing how one should hold onto his or her identity in a marriage. According to her, though one shares life, marriage calls for individuality too. She said,”I feel it’s very important to have your own identity.”

Such a psyche really strikes apt for a culture that tends to encourage its females to lose their last name or forego all individual rights and personal liberties just upon being wedded. Malaika teaches one’s memory, reminding readers that being a person is so much greater than even a name or dough-it’s more the bottom line of what you are.

Life of Strength and Confidence

Malaika’s personal life speaks volumes of the preaching that she does. She has been married to Arbaaz Khan for 19 years and the couple separated in 2017. The personal decision, however was quite public. And adding to that, her relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor has been often criticized because of the age gap between the two.

Despite all these, Malaika has remained consistent, showing resilience and grace, doing things her way, life unapologetic. She has become a role model to many women showing people the power of self-reliance and confidence.

Other than the fantastic inspirational quotes, Malaika has lately turned into a playmate of fun. She put up very light-hearted poll in Instagram stories to find out the status of her relationship with someone. Three options existed: “In a relationship,” “Single,” and “Hehehe.” She eventually settled for the cheeky “Hehehe.” She walked off leaving her fans giggling over her cheerful ways of looking at things.

Work-life Balance

On the professional front, Malaika continues to be an industry leader. She recently released a special video for the song “Majha Yek Number,” giving this song her own flavor and zest. She can again be seen as an example in balancing her personal life against her professional commitments.

A Role Model for Modern Women

As in many ways, Malaika Arora’s words are actually the counsel by words not in fact but an appeal to those women who have to depend on themselves and love who they are as an independent being. In a world where societal expectations define who a woman should be doing this comes as a great reminder, never to compromise self-worth and identity.

With freedom in life to financial freedom, the million-plus people are continuously being inspired by Malaika. This is a great testament to the fact that it is possible for women to enjoy life on their own terms-unabashed and bold.

This empowering message of Malaika with her experience of life is a beacon of hope in this world where, on this pretext, women lose themselves in becoming someone they may not be.
